There has been a lot of talk in the past week about the Florida Turnpike system and its future in Oklahoma. The Census Bureau announced this week that PIKEPASS will be a key component of the Electronic Toll Collection System (ETC) currently being developed and implemented in the Oklahoma Turn Pikes System over the past five years. The TurnPike Authority of Oklahoma has unveiled its plans for a new turntable in northeastern Oklahoma County, which is facing fierce opposition from local landowners. Starting with a toll road connecting Oklahoma City and Tulsa, it will eventually turn into two toll roads, one in each direction, each with a maximum toll of $1,000 per mile.

The toll booths will be located in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Tulsa County (see the full list on Mapquest), as well as in Tulsa and McAlester.
