He built his dream home on a ranch west of McAlester and married and raised his wife Mary Ann and their three children. They have four children, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and have a number of other children and grandchildren, as well as many grandchildren.
The group, consisting of children from third to sixth grade, lasted about 14 years and was one of the most beautiful experiences I had. The program has been and is a great source of inspiration for many of my children and grandchildren, and for many others.
Chris' son Steve has lost many family holidays, but he has been able to give the children and young artists time and experience while still retaining what his own grandchildren love and enjoy. He also teaches students at Jones Academy and has traveled to teach men incarcerated in various prisons. In the late 1970s, he traveled to Mexico to work with Saludos Amigos, and for two years traveled with them to teach men held in various prisons and prisons in Mexico City and Mexico City.
These trips included a trip to Mexico City, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala City. You can still see the side - paneled station wagons and vans parked in the parking lot of Saludos Amigos headquarters, while mom and dad are ready for a much-needed break.
The new street banners were painted on the walls of City Hall and the parking lot of Saludos Amigos headquarters in downtown Oklahoma City.
